Movie director films man's life alone in off-limits Fukushima town

Mayu Nakamura holds on Jan. 12, 2015 the camera that she used to film a documentary movie about a 55-year-old man who is the sole resident of his northeastern Japan hometown of Tomioka, home to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant crippled by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami disaster. The town has been declared off-limits to its former inhabitants. The recently completed movie, titled "Alone in Fukushima," is scheduled for screening at a Tokyo theater from April 18 till May 1.
