J-Village to partially reopen as soccer facility in 2018
A sports field at the J-Village national soccer training center in Fukushima Prefecture, currently serving as Tokyo Electric Power Co.'s forward base in dealing with the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant's accident, is used as a parking lot for workers on Jan. 29, 2015. A committee including the prefectural government and the Japan Football Association on the same day formulated a plan to partially reopen J-Village as a soccer facility in July 2018, with full reopening eyed for April 2019.
