Nursing care robot capable of lifting, helping patient stand up

The RIKEN research institute shows the press in Nagoya, central Japan, on Feb. 23, 2015, its new nursing care robot, Robear, which can perform tasks such as lifting a patient from a bed into a wheelchair or providing assistance to help the patient stand up. The robot, 150 centimeters tall and weighing 140 kilograms, is an improved model of an earlier prototype developed by RIKEN in 2012. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
