Greenpeace sees volcano risks underestimated at Sendai nuclear plant
Shaun Burnie (L) of Greenpeace Germany says at a press conference in Kagoshima, southwestern Japan, on Feb. 26, 2015, that volcanic activity risks for the two Sendai nuclear reactors in nearby Satsumasendai are underestimated by their operator, Kyushu Electric Power Co., and the Nuclear Regulation Authority. The NRA has endorsed the safety of the idled reactors, paving the way for procedures to restart them. (Kyodo)
