Experts to conduct aftershock survey in part of western Japan
A seismograph is displayed in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, on March 5, 2015, before its use for an aftershock survey in the western part of Tottori Prefecture, western Japan, hit by a major earthquake in 2000. Researchers from Kyoto University, Kyushu University and other entities will conduct the survey by installing some 1,000 such seismographs in areas that experienced aftershocks of the quake. (Kyodo)
