Tokyo's National Stadium being demolished ahead of 2020 Olympics

Work is under way to demolish the National Stadium in Tokyo on March 5, 2015, to pave the way for the construction from October of the new main venue for the 2019 Rugby World Cup and the 2020 Summer Olympics. The Japan Sports Council said the main body of the existing stadium will be completely demolished by around June and its debris removed by the end of September. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
