Genkai nuke power plant's No. 1 reactor likely to be scrapped
The No. 1 reactor at Kyushu Electric Power Co.'s nuclear power plant in Genkai, Saga Prefecture, southwestern Japan, is shown in a photo taken in June 2013. The company is expected to formally decide late in March 2015 to scrap the aging reactor due to huge costs needed to maintain it. (Kyodo)
