Japanese donates calligraphy by Sun Yat-sen's comrades to Taiwan museum

Yoshihiro Fujita (2nd from L), a member of the education board of Nichinan, Miyazaki Prefecture, southwestern Japan, presents a framed calligraphy piece by Chinese revolutionary activist Sun Yat-sen's close ally Chen Qimei to representatives of the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei on March 12, 2015, during a symposium marking the 90th anniversary of Sun's death. The calligraphy, given by Chen to Fujita's grandfather Reizo around 1915 as a token of thanks for his support for the Sun-led revolution in China, is hailed by the museum as an invaluable piece of historical material that shows the activists' connections with supporters in Japan. Fujita also donated a separate piece of calligraphy by another of Sun's allies, Liu Datong. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
