Scrolls depicting 1,200-year history dedicated to Kiyomizu temple

Scroll paintings totaling 65 meters long drawn by Mutsumasa Hakozaki, professor emeritus at Kyoto Saga University of Arts, are shown in Kyoto on April 6, 2015, after they were dedicated to Kiyomizu-dera, a Buddhist temple in the western Japanese city. The nine scrolls of paintings depicting the temple's 1,200 years of history took Hakozaki about 10 years to complete and will be shown to the public from April 25 to May 13. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
