Statue unveiled in Asakusa in memory of Kabuki actor Kanzaburo
A statue of "Nezumikozo," a famous character played by the late Kabuki actor Nakamura Kanzaburo, is unveiled by his sons Kankuro (R) and Shichinosuke (L), both also Kabuki actors, outside the Asakusa Public Hall in Tokyo on April 10, 2015. Kanzaburo, who died in 2012, founded the Heisei Nakamuraza theater in the Asakusa district in 2000 to reproduce the atmosphere of Edo period Kabuki in a temporary theater. (Kyodo)
