Japan's maglev train sets 603 kph world speed record
A monitor for a magnetically levitated train operated by Central Japan Railway Co. shows that the train hit 603 kilometers per hour, a world speed record in a manned test run, on an experimental track in Yamanashi Prefecture's Tsuru, central Japan, on April 21, 2015. It broke its own record of 590 kph. (Kyodo)
