Mayors opposed to nuclear power hold general meeting
The Mayors for a Nuclear Power Free Japan, a group consisting of incumbent and former local municipal leaders throughout Japan, holds its fourth annual general meeting on May 10, 2015, in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture. The group adopted an emergency resolution opposing the central government's optimal energy mix for 2030 in which nuclear power accounts for 20-22% of the electricity supply. (Kyodo)
