Pupils in Osaka Pref. learn how to cultivate rice seeds

Fifth graders in Tondabayashi, Osaka Prefecture, on May 12, 2015, learn from a local farmer how to cultivate rice seeds in buckets. The rice seeds were harvested from "miracle rice" provided by a nonprofit organization in Iwate Prefecture in February 2014 as a token of appreciation for support for the area affected by the 2011 disaster. The "miracle rice" was derived from the crops found growing in land hit by the 2011 tsunami in northeastern Japan following the Great East Japan Earthquake. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
