Japanese aquariums to stop acquiring Taiji drive hunt dolphins
Kazutoshi Arai (L), chairman of the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums, holds a press conference at the Environment Ministry in Tokyo on May 20, 2015. The association said the same day it will prohibit members from acquiring dolphins caught in drive hunts off the town of Taiji in western Japan, after the association faced being expelled from a global zoo body that has criticized the practice as cruel.
