JR express trains barely avoid head-on crash
Officials of Kyushu Railway Co. bow in apology at a press conference in Fukuoka, southwestern Japan, on May 22, 2015. An express train almost crashed head-on into another express train but barely stopped 93 meters short at a station on a single-track JR line earlier in the day, causing no injuries to the 231 passengers combined.
