Yamagata folk museum's clock ticking for about a century
Clocksmith Jiro Masuya poses at the Yamagata folk museum's clock tower in Yamagata, northern Japan, on June 7, 2015. Japan's second-oldest clock tower, completed in June 1916, has been ticking for almost a century thanks to the arduous efforts of the 83-year-old Masuya and his grandfather Hikokichi Abe, the developer of the clock device.
