Poet unveils plan to dedicate original holy tunes to Fukushima shrine

Poet Ryoichi Wago briefs the press in Fukushima city, northeastern Japan, on June 16, 2015, on a plan to stage a series of "Future Festival Fukushima" events on Aug. 21-23 featuring the dedication of a newly created "kagura" (sacred Shinto music) to the Fukushima Inari Shrine. A shadow picture play based on a folk tale of Minamisoma, Fukushima Prefecture, which includes a no-go zone following the 2011 nuclear power plant accident, will be also performed as part of the events.
