Cherry trees planted in Potsdam 70 years after A-bombings
Cherry trees are planted in Potsdam, eastern Germany, on June 16, 2015, by local and Japanese citizens during a ceremony in memory of victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 70 years ago. In the closing days of World War II, then U.S. President Harry Truman ordered the use of A-bombs against Japan during his stay in Potsdam in 1945. (Kyodo)
