Donors announce major aid for Nepal's post-quake recovery
An international conference is held in Kathmandu on June 25, 2015, to support Nepal's reconstruction from the massive earthquakes it suffered in April and May. In the meeting, donors pledged billions of dollars to help the country recover from the disaster that left 8,832 dead, over 22,000 injured and nearly 600,000 houses in ruins. Nepal says it needs over $6.6 billion to recover from the damage. (Kyodo)
