Thai customs seizes 250 kg of Laos-bound elephant ivory
Photo taken July 6, 2015, shows 250 kilograms of elephant ivory seized by Thai customs officers. The 102 pieces of ivory, worth $300,000 on the black market, were detected by X-ray machines at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, hidden in parcels destined for Laos, the officers said the same day.
