Hiroshima, Nagasaki A-bomb victims remembered in Germany
German and Japanese citizens release about 50 lanterns at Lake Griebnitzsee during an event in Potsdam, Germany, on July 25, 2015, to remember the victims of the U.S. atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The city near Berlin is known as a place where U.S. President Harry Truman in 1945 ordered the dropping of the bombs on the Japanese cities. (Kyodo)
