Atomic museum in Nagasaki repaints bomb model

The Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum in the southwestern Japanese city unveils July 28, 2015 a life-size model of the atomic bomb "Fat man," dropped on the city of Nagasaki on Aug. 9, 1945, after repainting it yellow to closely resemble the original. The model was painted dark green when it was introduced at the museum in 1996, as the color of the original bomb was not known at the time. The repainting is part of the museum's efforts to update its exhibits and provide the visitors with a better understanding of the nuclear weapon on the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing.
