Aggression, colonial rule cited in report to Abe: panel

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (R) and Taizo Nishimura, president of Japan Post Holdings Co. who serves as head of a government advisory panel to Abe, jointly hold up the panel's report at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on Aug. 6, 2015. The report, which will serve as a reference for a statement Abe will issue, possibly on Aug. 14, to mark the 70th anniversary of the war's end, spelled out Japan's "aggression" in China before and during World War II and its "colonial rule" of Korea from 1910 to 1945.
