Archaeologists find one of Japan's largest settlements from 4th C
An archeological institute shows the press on Aug. 19, 2015, the remains of pit dwellings and ditches apparently designed to mark boundaries between land areas discovered by researchers excavating the Nakanishi site in Gose, Nara Prefecture, western Japan. The settlement is believed to be one of Japan's largest in the early 4th century, according to the prefectural Archeological Institute of Kashihara. (Kyodo)
