Thousands protest against resumption of U.S. base relocation work
About 3,800 people protest in front of the gates of the U.S. Marine Corps' Camp Schwab in Nago, Okinawa Prefecture, on Sept. 5, 2015, against the Japanese government's plan to resume work for the planned relocation of a U.S. military base. Tokyo suspended the work for a month from Aug. 10 as part of efforts to defuse tensions with the local authorities. (Kyodo)
