Omura thanks late wife in winning Nobel prize
Japanese biologist Satoshi Omura (L) is sent off by his daughter Ikuyo Omura at his home in Tokyo on Oct. 6, 2015, a day after he received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with two scientists from Ireland and China. Omura paid tribute to his late wife Fumiko, who provided moral and financial support to his research career and had hoped that he would be awarded the prize someday. (Kyodo)
