Baseball club removes banners after complaints from indigenous people

File photo taken Nov. 7, 2015, shows one of four banners advertising the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters professional baseball club in the departure lobby of New Chitose Airport on Japan's northernmost main island of Hokkaido. The banner says "Hokkaido is a land of its settlers" along with a photo of manager Hideki Kuriyama. The Pacific League club said Nov. 9 it will remove all four banners following protests that the message is offensive to the local Ainu indigenous people. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
