China defends spy ship's activities near Japan's Senkakus
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei defends as normal recent activities by one of its naval intelligence ships near the Japan-controlled Senkaku Islands at a regular press briefing in Beijing on Nov. 13, 2015. Japan's Defense Ministry said a day earlier that a P-3C patrol aircraft spotted the vessel moving back and forth near the islands claimed by China, which calls them Diaoyu. (Kyodo)
