China avoids saying if it sent message for Kim Jong Un's birthday
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying attends a regular press briefing in Beijing on Jan. 8, 2016. Responding to a question on whether any message has been sent to North Korea to mark leader Kim Jong Un's birthday, Hua said she did not know. The question came after North Korea faced a barrage of criticism from the international community following its fourth nuclear test earlier in the week. (Kyodo)
