Former "comfort woman" testifies in Tokyo
Kang Il Chul, 87, a South Korean woman who was forced to work in a Japanese wartime military brothel, shows a scar on her head during a press conference at the parliament building in Tokyo on Jan. 26, 2016. The former "comfort woman" said the scar is from being beaten when she, as a teenager, cried at the brothel, missing her parents. (Kyodo)
