Japan, U.S. hold talks over new slots at Tokyo's Haneda airport
Representatives of the governments of Japan and the United States hold talks in Tokyo on Feb. 16, 2016, over the allocation of slots for flights connecting U.S. cities and Tokyo's Haneda airport. The two-day meeting will focus on whether to expand the allocation of slots at Haneda -- which is closer to Tokyo's downtown than Narita airport east of the capital -- for Japanese and U.S. carriers for "daytime" flights to and from the United States, defined as between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. (Kyodo)
