"Hina" dolls on display in Gunma
About 3,000 "hina" dolls, or Japanese traditional dolls in colorful court dress, are displayed in a hot spring resort in Numata, Gunma Prefecture in eastern Japan, on Feb. 26, 2016, ahead of the March 3 Hina Matsuri, or the Doll Festival. Japanese families celebrate the festival to pray for the happiness and health of daughters by setting up displays of dolls in their homes. (Kyodo)
