Japan to move up FY 2016 budget spending to lift economy
Finance Minister Taro Aso attends a press conference in the Diet building in Tokyo on April 5, 2016. Aso said that the Japanese government will move forward spending on a number of projects in its fiscal 2016 budget to support the stagnant domestic economy, aiming to make contracts on around 80 percent of 12.1 trillion yen ($109 billion) in the public works budget by the end of the fiscal first half in September.
