Athletes' village in Rio to open in July

A ceremony to mark the handing over of the athletes' village from the municipal government to the organizing committee of the Rio 2016 Olympics is held on June 15, 2016. The 31 buildings, capable of accommodating 17,950 people in 3,604 rooms, will open on July 24. The new buildings will be put on sale after the Olympics as luxury condominiums. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
