Democratic Party chief not to resign immediately after election failure
Main opposition Democratic Party chief Katsuya Okada is seen at the party's headquarters in Tokyo on the night of July 10, 2016, as vote counting continues following the House of Councillors election. Okada said he will not resign immediately despite media projections showing the party failed to prevent the ruling coalition from winning the number of seats it set as a target in the election.
