Protest over planned establishment of "comfort women" foundation
A group of South Korean women who were forced to work in Japan's wartime military brothels hold a press conference in Seoul on July 25, 2016, in response to the Japanese and South Korean governments' affirmation the same day that they will move towards implementing a landmark deal over the "comfort women." The group criticized the planned establishment of a foundation to help the aging women that is part of the bilateral deal, saying it goes against the victims' wishes. (Kyodo)
