Large snakes confiscated from man's house in Tokyo
Photo taken Sept. 9, 2016, at a police station in Tokyo shows a 3.5-meter-long Burmese python after it was confiscated from a 21-year-old man's apartment. The man, a pet shop employee, was found to have kept dozens of snakes and lizards, including the python and five other large snakes designated as potentially harmful animals by the authorities. The police referred the man's case to prosecutors as he had not obtained the authorities' approval for keeping the large snakes. (Kyodo)
