Japan troops tasked with new peacekeeping roles arrive in S. Sudan
Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force unit arrives in Juba on Nov. 21, 2016, to participate in U.N. Peacekeeping activities. The unit is tasked with fresh roles in line with a new security law -- it can go to the rescue of U.N. staff and others under attack and join foreign troops to defend a U.N. peacekeeping camp shared by Japan and other countries.
