Nikkei briefly tops year high as yen's fall lifts exporters
An electric board in Tokyo shows the key Nikkei stock index ending up 47.81 points, or 0.26 percent, at 18,381.22, a roughly 10-and-a-half-month high and marking its longest winning streak in roughly a year, on Nov. 25, 2016. The rise came as the yen's fall against the U.S. dollar boosted export-related names. (Kyodo)
