Shogi association chief quits over false cheating allegation
Koji Tanigawa, head of the Japan Shogi Association, looks downcast during a press conference in Tokyo on Jan. 18, 2017, at which he announced his resignation. Tanigawa said he will take responsibility a false allegation that top-ranked player Hiroyuki Miura cheated with software assistance during official games the previous year.
