Japanese Emperor Akihito (L) and Empress Michiko look at a specimen of the goby fish discovered by the emperor as a new species in the 1970s, at the Museum of Biology at Vietnam National University, University of Science, in Hanoi on March 2, 2017. After being collected in Vietnam for joint research with Japan, the example of a goby fish was provided to the emperor, then crown prince, in Tokyo so he could examine it and the specimen was given back to Vietnam in 1976.
