Japan marks 6th anniv. of quake, tsunami, nuclear disasters
A man places a flower on March 11, 2017, in front of the "miracle pine," the only survivor of the earthquake and tsunami six years earlier that wiped out a grove of 70,000 trees that lined the beach in the northeastern Japan city of Rikuzentakata for centuries. The miracle pine is the best-known symbol of the disaster-hit city. (Kyodo)
