Tepco probe locates melted fuel inside damaged Fukushima No. 2 unit

An official of Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc. says at a press conference in Tokyo on Jan. 19, 2018, that a survey using a telescopic arm inside the crippled No. 2 reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi complex located melted nuclear fuel at the bottom of the primary containment vessel, in a step toward the ultimate goal of decommissioning the plant.
