H.K. chief over extradition bill
Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam meets the press in Hong Kong on June 10, 2019, over her government's controversial extradition policy proposal, which over the weekend sparked one of the largest protests in the former British colony since its return to Chinese rule in 1997. She said the government will not withdraw the proposal to allow the forced transfer of suspects accused of criminal wrongdoings to mainland China. (Kyodo)
