Introduction of mainland national security law in Hong Kong

Chinese Ambassador to Japan Kong Xuanyou (C) is summoned to Japan's Foreign Ministry in Tokyo on May 28, 2020, as Tokyo expresses concern over China's move to enact a national security law in Hong Kong. The Chinese National People's Congress approved the proposed introduction of the mainland's national security law in Hong Kong during its closing session at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing the same day.
