Shogi star Fujii becomes challenger for another title

Teen shogi sensation Sota Fujii meets the press in Tokyo on June 23, 2020, after securing the right to challenge for a second shogi title -- Oi -- by defeating Takuya Nagase, holder of two of the game's eight major titles. On June 8, Fujii, a 17-year-old high school student, began his bid to win the Kisei title by beating triple title holder Akira Watanabe in the first game of a best-of-five series.
