Museum in memory of "Sazae-san" author Machiko Hasegawa
Photo taken in Tokyo on July 9, 2020, shows painting materials displayed at a museum dedicated to Machiko Hasegawa (1920-1992), author of the Japanese comic strip "Sazae-san," a huge success that depicted an ordinary Japanese family led by a good-natured mother and wife called Sazae. The museum set to open to the public as an annex of the Hasegawa Machiko Art Museum on July 11, three months behind schedule due to the coronavirus pandemic, mainly showcases original drawings of Sazae-san and other characters as well as painting materials used by Hasegawa.
