75th A-bomb anniversary in Nagasaki
Photo taken in Nagasaki on Aug. 9, 2020, the 75th anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing of the southwestern Japan city, shows a flame lit at a cauldron built in 1987 to express the wish that Nagasaki will be the last atomic-bombed city in the world. The flame was transported to the city after being taken from a parabolic mirror during a lighting ceremony on the site of ancient Olympia, Greece, in August 1983.
