Sir Winton's statue re-unveiled at Prague's Main Station, Statue of Sir Nicholas Winton

The statue of Sir Nicholas Winton, who saved 669 Czechoslovak, mainly Jewish children from being transported to concentration camps before WW2, was ceremonially re-unveiled at Prague's Main Station platform 1 after a repair, on September 13, 2020. Winton's figure once again wears the typical pair of glasses that was repeatedly stolen from it by vandals in the past. The repairer and the repair organiser Pavel Schreiber told CTK that the repair cost 13,000 crowns and was covered through a public-fund raising campaign. (CTK Photo/Roman Vondrous)
