The Dutch Lantern,Toshogu Shrine,Nikko
The turning lantern donated by the king of the Netherlands is placed in front of the Yomei Gate. In the rear is a drum tower, and further to the rear is the Honjido. It was called Honjiido because it enshrined the Yakushinyorai, or Honji Butsu of Tokugawa Ieyasu, but at present is called Yakushido.
